Home Modifications :

Donna has worked on several home modification projects with patients, clients and families, and their builders and insurers, e.g. Worksafe BC. Donna works collaboratively with designers and builders at the pre-design stage and consults during the full home modification process. Post construction, Donna reassesses the modifications to ensure that client's needs are met. To create optimal results, Donna ensures home owners and tenants understand how to manage any new technology, safety, and adaptive devices. Measurements and photographs are taken and included with a rationale for the Home Modification recommendations.

Important - Falls - Falls are the leading cause of injury-related hospitalizations and deaths for seniors in British Columbia (BC). It is estimated that fall related injuries account for 43 hospitalizations by seniors each day in BC.

For Aging in Place Home Modifications Donna starts each project with an onsite home safety assessment or a functional assessment of the client's current and anticipated future physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities, needs, and limitations.

Occupational Therapy services are Confidential ~ Donna's other photos and reviews of past projects are not available.

Donna's recommendations are designed to solve immediate or long range potential problems, e.g. back pain, limited reach, problems with balance on uneven surfaces and stairs, reduced visual and hearing abilities.
